The history of Fèlsina Chardonnay begins with French clones grafted from the nearby estate of Farnetella owned by the winery. Today there are newly planted areas from the Ombrone river rising up to the to the Poggiolo property, where soils are looser than in the Chianti Classico appellation, using a variety of clones and rootstocks to continue the research begun decades ago.
