Ed Garrubbo has been studying, cooking, searching for, and thinking about la cucina italiana for as long as he can remember. He cooks a wide range of Italian dishes and visits restaurants, cooking schools, markets, and food artisans across Italy, and wherever Italians practice their craft. He is a member of the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, a cultural institution of the Italian government, and is a citizen of both the United States and Italy.

Christy Canterbury is a wine writer, buyer and educator who lives between Manhattan and the vineyards of the world, particularly those of Europe. Christy is the Wine Acquisitions Director for Italian Wine Merchants in New York City and is the Italy Wine Editor for the Professional Wine Reference, updated and reprinted in 2006. With a Master of Wine Title, Christy holds the titles Diploma of Wine & Spirits from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust in London and Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
