Italian food has the power to bring people together, rich and poor, family and friends. It helps people forget themselves and escape into the convivalitá – into the sharing. It is healthy for the body and good for the planet. In a world of lost authenticity, Guida Garrubbo educates with the history and context necessary to understand the true cucina italiana. We aim to preserve this Italian form of genius and art. We invite you to share in the mission. Spread your love through food.

La Guida Garrubbo is an expert guide to Italian food, cooking, and restaurants. It is supported by a community that is passionate about la cucina italiana. We provide the information and resources you need to find authentic Italian cooking, whether you are just discovering its magic or have been weaned on it since birth. Learning about Italian food should never stop. “Studiare sempre,” my nonno used to say — always study.

We take you on a gastronomic journey that is sure to become an obsession, one that you will pass on to future generations. In Italy, this obsession has withstood the test of time. Share recipes, tell stories, recommend good restaurants, and recount the memories that take you to the past and tie you to the future.
